In late December Deanna VanBuren (LF ’13) learned that she has won a grant from the Fetzer Foundation for her project Designing Justice Designing Spaces. VanBuren and her collaborator Barb Toews will be talking about the project tomorrow evening on Molly Rowan’s weekly podcast Restorative Justice on the Rise.
DJDS will take VanBuren and Toews into institutions, architecture firms, conferences and communities across the country to develop a toolkit for working with incarcerated populations at the edge of restorative justice and design. During the podcast, which begins Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. EST, they will share next steps and engage in conversation about an alternative future for justice architecture.
