Margaret McCurry (LF 1987) will moderate a panel discussion with three former Loeb Fellows. John Syvertsen (LF 1986), Bill Klein (LF 1991) and Mary Eysenbach (LF 2005) will discuss their involvement with social causes and sustainable environments.
John Syvertsen is a senior principal at Cannon Design and is the leader of the firm’s environmental sustainability and community outreach efforts. Bill Klein is the director of research and advisory services of the American Planning Association and has focused on solar and wind energies, protection of habitat, water resources and cultural landscapes.
As director of conservatories for the Chicago Park District Mary Eysenbach writes and speaks about green space planning. She is currently working on developing a special area at Garfield Park to introduce children to the natural world to nurture their respect for their environment.
